WRATH DOES NOT WORK RIGHTEOUSNESS
It is a beautiful Sunday morning here in Beavercreek, Oregon. I am excited about Church this morning and teaching and preaching God's Word. I am praying for the Lord to have control of everything, and it all be done for His glory and that souls would be saved, and lives changed for eternity. Here is a lesson to share today:
WRATH DOES NOT WORK RIGHTEOUSNESS- James 1:20 says: "For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God." In verse 26, it says: "If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain." Wrath and anger and malice are things God's Word tells us to "put away". These are items the old man has in plenty, but we are to have in short supply as believers. I have never in all these years have a member leave because of a biblical principle. It is almost always that they get mad about something. It seems that our anger and our pride go hand in hand. We want everything our way, or we get offended and quit. That certainly is not the actions of a maturing Christian. Let us not be angry Christians. James says that our religion is vain (religion being that outward profession) if we don't stop speaking in anger.
Hope you have a blessed day!
