ISAIAH
I'm reading in Isaiah today, chapters 12 through 32. Here are a few insights: 1) PRAISE- Isaiah 12 is all about praising God. He is our strength, and our song, and our salvation. We are to Praise the LORD, Sing unto the LORD, and to Cry out and shout of His goodness. All of these praises are found in this one chapter with only six verses. Check it out for yourself! 2) O LUCIFER, SON OF THE MORNING! Isaiah 14, tells us about Satan, Lucifer. It tells us how he rebelled, why he rebelled, and how he will be wiped out. I want to focus on his being wiped out. Vs. 12 says: "how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!" vs. 15 says: "Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit." And most remarkable of all is verses 16,17- "They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee (stare that him in surprise), and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; that made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?" In other words we will be surprised how puny he really is! Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world!! 3) EVERYDAY!- Isaiah 17:7 "At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel." Oh that everyday we would look to our Maker and have respect to the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, the Sovereign ruler of the Universe, the Great I AM, the LORD of host, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, The Bright and Morning Star, the Savior of our souls, the One true and living God, ... Oh that today... we would look to HIM!!! Now, let us just do this ...... everyday!! 4) FALSE SOURCES- Isaiah 30:1 says "Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:" We are to look to GOD, and to GOD alone! He is our only source; do not be seeking out false sources. Have a blessed day in Jesus Christ today. Walk with Him, talk with Him, Live for Him!! God bless!
