EZEKIEL

We had a great day at Church.  I preached my heart out Sunday morning hoping to share with all the benefits of the Gospel and that when we are saved, so much is settled for us by Christ.  Then, we heard the testimonies of our teenagers who went to camp and the decisions that they made for Jesus Christ.  It was amazing.  Then missionary Dave Solt preached to us and it was a blessing as well.  This morning, I'm in Ezekiel.  I have one more week and then I will be in Europe for two weeks.  I will not be doing the blog from August 17th to September 2nd.  That will be a while, but do read an older blog during that time if you will.

1) HE KNOWS OUR MINDS- Ezekiel 11:5 says:  "And the spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith the LORD; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel:  for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them."  God knows what fills our minds and what secret thoughts we decide to dwell on.  Someone once said:  "I cannot keep a bird from flying over my head, but I can keep it from building a nest in my hair."  So are thoughts.  We can chose what we dwell on, even if we cannot prevent wrong thoughts from entering in, we can show it the door out!  Let us all everyone work on our thoughts knowing that God knows our thoughts!

2) LIES AND DECEPTION- Ezekiel 13:7, 10, and 22 show us the lies and deception that people come to trust when Satan deceives them.  Here they are mentioned in this one chapter:  Ezekiel 13:7  "Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?";  Ezekiel 13:10  "Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered mortar:";
Ezekiel 13:22  "Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:"    Notice in verse 22, they promise the wicked "life", but God says they will receive only death.  Oh, the lies and deception that comes from the Devil.

Well, just two thoughts for today.  Hope you have a blessed day in the LORD.  God bless you!  Pastor Mike Mutchler
