PSALMS

This morning is Saturday, and I have been reading my twenty chapters plus studying for a Men's Devotion this morning as we have each Saturday morning for the Men of Destiny, prayer breakfast.  I give a devotion, we break down into groups of three and pray together, and then a great breakfast is enjoyed by all of us.  What a blessing!  So, I'm short on time, but here are a few thoughts:

1) NO GOOD THING WITHHELD- Psalms 84:11 says:  "no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."  God wants to bless us.  Our task is to walk uprightly in His presence.  That does not mean sinless, but it means honestly before God.  When we sin, confess it.... deal with it.  Be open and honest before God and He will open up His storehouse of blessings for your life.  It works!

2) TOKEN FOR GOOD- This verse I claimed before Summer of this year and shared it with my staff.  We have been praying for "tokens of good" this year and each week we ask what 'tokens' God has given to each of us.  The verse is Psalms 86:17 "Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed:  because thou, LORD, hast helped me, and comforted me."   God will vindicate and bless our lives and ministries, but we need to be asking for those "tokens" of His love and blessing!

3) I SHALL BE ANOINTED WITH FRESH OIL- Fresh Oil!  Oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit, and in Psalms 92:10, David says:  "I shall be anointed with fresh oil."  That should be the prayer of every Christian, but especially anyone in ministry.... we need that fresh anointing from God each and every day of our lives.  As we preach and teach and share and witness and raise our children.... we need that fresh anointing.  I shall be anointed with Fresh Oil!!  Bring it on dear Jesus!

Hope you have a blessed day tomorrow....SUNDAY!!!  Yeah!
Have a blessed day.  Dr. Mike Mutchler, Pastor
