Monday in the Psalms

Today is Monday.  We had a great day yesterday with one family joining and one family getting baptized.  God was good to us.  I trust your day at Church was wonderful as well.  Here are some items to share with you today:

1) SO FAR AWAY, YOU CANNOT MEASURE IT!  This is how far God has put our sins away from us.  In Ps. 103:12, he says it this way:  "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us."  This is just what God's Word tells us and isn't it great that our sins are so far away?  Praise God!!
2) INSIGHT!  God's Word is the best commentary on God's Word!  God gives us insight into one passage of Scripture, from another passage of Scripture!  Just like in Psalms 105:18.  It says of Joseph: "Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:"  Now in Genesis, we hear that Joseph was in prison, but we do not know that he had his feet bound in chains and that they hurt his feet until God tells us that in the book of Psalms.  You see, God explains things in the Bible, even well after the event occurred, God gives us additional insight into the matter.

3) THE RED SEA-  Ps. 106:9 says: "He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness."  Liberal scholars try to have Moses crossing a wet patch of ground, but God's Holy Word says "he led them through the depths".  Now something shallow is not a depth!  I have yet to see a bible map that suggest Moses crossed the Red Sea in the depths.  These were not written by Bible believing people.  Even the cities they put on the map near the Red Sea, have a question mark by them... meaning, they don't know!!  So why do they put the journey in the shallows if they don't know?  They don't have faith that God can do the impossible!!  But we do!!  God's Word is full of talk about the Red Sea.  It even says that God kept the place of the crossing a secret.  He did this so you would need faith to believe the depths were crossed.  The Red Sea is deep!!  The average, median depth is 2200 feet deep.  That's right, it is deep!!  Thus scholars don't have that much faith.... but I do!!  I'm sticking with God's Word and saying "he led them through the depths".

4) THE FIXED HEART- Psalms 108:1 "O GOD, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory."  Psalms 112:7 "his heart is fixed trusting in the LORD."  Psalms 112:8 "His heart is established,"  Psalms 57:7 "My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed:  I will sing and give praise."  The fixed heart is a heart that doesn't waver because of circumstances.  David said his heart was fixed on song and praise, and regardless of what came his way in life, he was stuck on song and praise to God.  We too need to have our hearts fixed on God!  Whatever trials await us, we should be fixed in our faith and knowledge of God's goodness and love to us.

Hope you have a blessed day today.  Let God use you to be a blessing to others around you.
