JOB

Today is Friday!  I had a great time out soul-winning last night and my partner and I saw three people trusted Christ as their Savior.  Bro. Chris Vestal who was in our car saw six people saved with his son, Derek.  It was a great night.

Today, as I look at Job, there are too many wonderful truths found in every chapter to even skim the surface, but I want to pick out just two.
1) FINDING GOD- In Job 23:3, Job says: "Oh that I knew where I might find him!"  He was looking for God and could not find Him.  Sometimes we feel this way in the midst of the storms of life, but he concludes in verse 10: "But he knoweth the way that I take; when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold."  The key is this:  Even when we do not know where God is; God always knows where we are!!  That is what is important.  We need faith to know that God knows!!  He knows where we are, and what is going on, and it is no surprise to Him at all!!  Trust Him dear friend.... even in the storm!
2) I SEE!  In Job 42:5, Job says: "I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee."  The blessings of dark valleys is that it brings God into clear focus.  We learn that He is not just a God we "hear" about, but we "experience" for ourselves!  When you confront your trials and come out on the other side, you realize that God is real and that God helped you make it.  You would not have survived, but God was with you upholding you all the time.  Do you see?  Or, do you just hear?  Oh that God's people would come to that place where God is so real they see His hand in their everyday lives!   I see!
May God bless you today!  Pastor Mike Mutchler
