II CHRONICLES

It's Sunday!  I love Sundays!  I cannot wait until I get to Church and see the people coming to the Lord's House.  I'm so glad there is one place we can go that is not immersed in the world.  We don't hear rock music playing, we don't hear cursing and swearing, we don't see immodesty advertised, we get to be with God's people.  Sure, non believers will be there and many young Christians, but they will have a reverence for God's House as well for the most part.  I get to see Jesus work on Sundays!  What a week we have had, and I'm looking forward to what God will do today! I'm reading in II Chronicles and here is a truth or two for you to consider: 1) FILL THE HOUSE LORD!  This is what happened in II Chron. 5:14.  It says:  "for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God."  I was thinking when I read that.... do it again, LORD.... do it again!  This morning would be wonderful.  To sense God's presence among us and to revel in His greatness!  What a God we serve! 2) THEN HEAR THOU FROM THE HEAVENS- Seven times in II Chron. 6, it says:  "Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwellingplace, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause..."  It was all hinged upon God's people:  "If they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul ..."  "Then hear thou...."   God wants to give us His attention.... He is only waiting for us to give Him our attention!  Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh unto thee." 3) ONE OF GOD'S SIMPLE FORMULAS- It will work IF we work it!  II Chron. 20:20, says:  "Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established, believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper."   Believe God and God's men, and you get established and prospered!  What a wonderful formula for success in the Christian Life.  Let us follow it.  Hope you have a blessed Sunday!  Find yourself in Church... a Bible-Believing, fundamental Church that reaches out into the community to win precious, but lost, souls.
