ISAIAH ON SUNDAY MORNING

It's Sunday!  I love Sundays!  But, it is blowing cold outside.  Burrr.  Still, we get to meet inside!  Yeah!  I'm reading in Isaiah again this morning and it takes three days to get through at 20 chapters a day.  There is just too much good stuff to single out a few thoughts, so today, I'm just giving you some of my favorite passages that I read today.  Here they are:  (enjoy!)

Isaiah 40:7-8  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.  8  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Isaiah 40:12  Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
Isaiah 40:28-31  Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.  29  He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.  30  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:  31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 41:10  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:13-14  For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.  14  Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 43:2  When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Isaiah 44:3  For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
Isaiah 44:24  Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
Isaiah 45:22  Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
Isaiah 46:4  And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
Isaiah 52:7  How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

OK... I'll stop here.  You see, there are just too many wonderful, meaningful verses.  Wow!  God's Word is alive, a blessing, and it speaks to us through His Spirit.  Have a blessed day.  Pastor Mike Mutchler
