PSALMS 93-112

It's Tuesday, and I'm in Psalms.  Here is a thought or two:

1) TODAY- Ps. 95:7 says:  "Today if ye will hear his voice,"  Now the next verse says "Harden not your heart,...."  But, I want us to look at the phrase in verse 7.  Today "if ye will hear his voice".  The idea is the God will be talking to us, but will we be listening to Him?  Today, make up your mind to listen to God.  I'm all for talking to Him, but I also need to listen for HIm.  "My sheep hear my voice".  Sounds like we are supposed to be listening doesn't it?  Today, let us decide to listen!

2) WONDERFUL COMBINATION!  In Psalms 96:6, we read:  "Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary."  See the combinations:  Honour and Majesty.  Strength and Beauty.  How wonderful is our God.  Past our understanding and ability to comprehend!  Wonderful!

3) Psalms 104-108  In these chapters, the Bible goes through Creation to Noah; Abraham to Moses; Moses through the Wilderness; Wilderness to the Promised Land; and then Help in Canaan!  So, read these chapters with that in mind and you will see it very clearly!

4) SOUGHT OUT!  Psalms 111:2 says:  "The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein."   The works of the LORD are "sought out" by those that enjoy (have pleasure) in seeing the work of God!  Are we seeking out the work of God to see it?  We should be listening to Him today, and have our eyes open to SEE the work of God around us.  The bush is burning, but will we turn aside to see?  I hope I will today;  I need to see God working today, and I'm sure you do too!

Have a blessed day in the LORD!   Pastor Mike Mutchler
