ISAIAH 21-30

Today is Wednesday.  I get to preach in Chapel to the Elementary and the High School Chapel.  I'm looking forward to doing that.  Then I get to Walk Through the Bible tonight in our Wednesday night service.  I'm walking through I & II Timothy tonight and I'm going to enjoy doing that.  This morning, I read in Isaiah and here are a few thoughts:
1) PEACE IN A PERSON- Isaiah 26:3 says:  "Thous wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:  because he trusteth in thee."  then verse 4 says:  "Trust ye in the LORD for ever:  for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:"  Peace is found, not in the absence of turmoil, but in the trust of the Sovereign God our LORD.   He knows best, and He allowed every situation to happen for a purpose, and He can be trusted; so enjoy Peace in His Presence!
Focusing on our heavenly Father, takes the focus off of all our problems and puts the focus on the source of solution.... our Savior!  Praise the LORD!!
2) WHAT AND WHEN?  As I read Isaiah 28:9, it was a revelation of teaching the youth.  This verse tells us what we should be teaching them and when to start the teaching.  Notice what it says:  "Whom shall he teach knowledge?  and whom shall he make to understand doctrine?  them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts."  Wow!  We are to teach knowledge and doctrine to the young ones who have just been weaned!  Usually we think doctrine is reserved for High School and above, but not God.  He says they should be taught from the very young.  Ok, LORD.... You know best!  I think I need to start writing out a new curriculum for Sunday School now that deals with knowledge and doctrine for the very young.  I've got a new project awaiting me now.
3) OUR FOUNDATION IS THE LORD JESUS CHRIST- Isaiah 28:16 says:  "Therefore thus saith the LORD GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation:  he that believeth shall not make haste."  All over the Bible, this truth is firmly established.  Jesus Christ is our foundation.  1 Corinthians 3:11  "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."  Acts 4:11  "This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner."  Ephesians 2:20  "And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;"  1 Peter 2:6  "Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded."  These are but a few of the verses, but it shows that all of the apostles knew that Jesus Christ was the foundation of their salvation, and the foundation of the church.  Let us always look to our Founder, our Foundation, our Father, and our Founding Principles (the Bible)!
Well, hope you have a great day dear friend!  Blessings be upon you!!
