Galatians 1

It's Monday.  What a time we had yesterday at Church.  What a blessing to have people saved and baptized morning and evening.  I showed a sixteen minute video of Africa and our people were moved.  We want to raise many thousands of dollars for missions above what we normally do.  God knows there is a world that needs to hear the good news.

I started with Galatians one this morning, so let me spend my time on this chapter.  Here is two or three thoughts:

1)TO DELIVER US- vs. 4 "Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father."  You see Christ died for our sins and died to deliver us.  Notice that "this present evil world" seems a lot tamer to us two thousand years ago.... how evil would it be considered now?  God wants to deliver us from this present evil world.  Let us separate ourselves from this world and it's wickedness.

2) DESERT TRAINING- vs. 17 "I went into Arabia"  .... vs. 18  "Then after three years...."  Time alone with God is what makes us the Christians we ought to be and need to be for His service.  There is no substitute!  We must be taught by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.  Thank God for teachers and preachers, but they are not enough.  Spend your time alone with the LORD today and know that it makes all the difference!

3) TRANSFORMED LIFE- vs. 23 "He which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed."  Saul of Tarsus, becoming Paul, the Apostle and author of scripture.... wow!  What a transformation!  This is what God can do and does every day of our lives.  All around us there are believers whose lives have been totally transformed by Jesus Christ.  What a joy!  I hope you are being transformed by His Spirit and by His Word, even today.

LORD, make me, mold me, use me.... today.  I yield myself to you as best I know how and ask your your tender guidance in my life today and everyday.  Thank you for your love, your mercy, and your grace.  I love you Lord, and I want to show that today by my thoughts, and my actions.  Thank you Jesus!  Amen.

Have a blessed day.... Dr. Mike Mutchler, Pastor of wonderful people
