JOB

Today is Monday.  I had a great time at Church yesterday.  We had another great crowd, many new faces, and several getting saved and three adults joining the church.  God was so good to us.  I just love the good people I get to have church with.  God has been so good to us.  I am reading in Job, and here are a few thoughts:

1) WONDERS WITHOUT NUMBER- The Bible always has such wonderful descriptions of God's creation and working in our midst.  In Job 9:10 it says:  "Which doeth great things past finding out:  yea, and wonders without number."  God does wonders without number!  Wow.  I love that thought.  What an amazing, wonderful God we serve.  How easy it is to love Him and serve Him when you have an idea of who He is.  Great and majestic is our God!

2) FULL OF CONFUSION- In Job 10:15, it reads:  "If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head.  I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction."  Job says that if he is wicked then God will judge him and woe be unto him, but if he is righteous, he will not be lifting up his head to brag on his righteousness, he will keep his head bowed and humble.  But then he goes on to say:  "I am full of confusion."  Have you ever been there?  I get there many times because I don't know what is going on nor do I understand why people do what they do, not do I understand all of the curve balls I'm thrown in life.  I do know that God knows, and I take refuge in this!  When you get to those times in life when you too are full of confusion, lean upon the LORD, for He knoweth the way that I take.  Rest in His awareness and knowledge of what you are going through.

3) WHAT DO THY EYES WINK AT?  In Job 15:12, Eliphaz is questioning Job, and asks him:  "Why doth thine heart carry thee away?  and what do thy eyes wink at,"   By winking at, he means this:  "What sin is in your life that you ignore, you easily pass over, you wink at instead of look at and deal with it?"  Let us be sure not to have sin in our lives that we only wink at instead of confess and deal with.  Let us be sincere and open before God.

Well my friend, this is all for today.  I hope you have a blessed day in the LORD.
