Exodus

I'm in Exodus this morning.  Last night we had the first night of our Youth Explosion (Public School Teen Revivial) and had 320 in attendance with 76 being saved!  It was exciting and God really came through and blessed.  Teens had been working hard and fasting and the turn out was amazing!  Here are some thoughts in Exodus:

1) DON'T WASTE IT- Exodus 12:3,4- "... a lamb for an house: (4) And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb."  In other words, the lamb had to be eating without left overs so they could combine small families to make sure the lamb was eaten.  They would be leaving Egypt that night, and no leftovers were to be taken with them, or left behind.  Now this represented the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, who is the picture in the Lord's Supper.  Because of the high cost of the Lamb of God dying for our sins, let us not waste that sacrifice!  Let us live for Christ and not waste what Christ did to purchase our Salvation.  Don't waste it!

2) DON'T CAMP LONG AT MARAH, MOVE TO ELIM- In Exodus 15:23 "And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of waters of Marah, for they were bitter:  therefore the name of it was called Marah."  Here they complained against the Lord, and the Lord had to sweeten the waters.  But, just ten miles away was Elim.  (vs. 27) "And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees:  and they encamped there by the waters."  They should never have camped at Marah, but just went on to Elim.  Friend, there are many things in life which could get us bitter, but don't camp there!  Keep going and the resting place of 12 wells and 70 palm trees are awaiting us.  Don't camp long at Marah, move to Elim!

Well, I am just going to give these two things today.  I have a full day awaiting me.  May God richly bless!   Pastor Mike Mutchler
