JEREMIAH

What a blessed day we had Sunday.  It rained and rained, but the preaching was wonderful and the response of God's people was overwhelming.  It was a wonderful day.  We had Pastor Richard King preach the morning and evening service, and what a blessing it was.  God used him among us and we are grateful.
Today, I'm up at 3:00am to take Bro. King to the airport, so I only have a little time to write.  here are a few thougths:

1) WHERE ARE THE PHYSICIANS?  In Jer. 8:22 the questions is asked: "Is there no balm in Gilead: is there no physician there?"  If there is, then why isn't Israel getting better?  Because they were not looking to the Great Physicians.  God wants us to use Physicians, but He wants us to foremost look to the Great Physician.  God is the healer and we need to look to Him.  First to be spiritually whole, and then for our physical needs.
2) HARD WRITING- Jer. 17:1 says: The sin of Judah is writting with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond:  it is graven upon the table of their hearts, and upon the horns of your altars;"  God writes these things upon their hearts.  He convicts them of their sin, and writes it upon their hearts, but here is the thing... their hearts are so hard.... so hard... God uses a pen of iron and a point of a diamond!!  Let us not be hard hearted, but keep a soft and tender heart to the things of God!
3)  MY SERVANT- Jer. 27:6 says: "Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant:"   He was God's servant!!  Why?  Not because he loved God with all of his heart, but because God sets up authorities to do His bidding!  He was being used of God and he didn't even realize it!  God is always in control, even when our world seems out of control.  Look to Him in FAITH!!!
Well, gotta go!  Have a blessed day!   Pastor Mike Mutchler
