The Last Books of the Bible
I did not get to write yesterday and there will be days that have more to do than time to do them and yesterday was just such a day. Today will be such for at least a half of a day. But, tomorrow is Sunday!! Yeah!! 1) James 2:10- "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." This tells us that we could never save ourselves, because we never eradicate sin in our lives. But, that is not how we get saved anyway! The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin... this is how we get saved, and stay saved!! 2) I Peter 2:25 "but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls." Here, Peter uses two titles that are also given to the Pastor: Shepherd and Bishop. Jesus is our Pastor!! He leads and guides and directs us. We earthly Pastors are undershepherds and we are to lead and guide and direct in ways that our Great Shepherd would if He were here. 3) Rev. 4:8 "saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come." I can't wait for that day when we will be able to sing and shout out loud, Holy, Holy, Holy, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!! 4) Rev. 22:21-- "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." IT ends with GRACE!! The last word in the Old Testament is "curse"; the last thought in the New Testament is "grace"; and therein lies the difference. I'm glad God extended to us His grace, not the curse that we deserve! May God's grace shine on you today!! Pastor Mike Mutchler |
