NUMBERS-DEUTERONOMY

It's Saturday, and the good thing about that is that tomorrow is Sunday!!  Today I have an early Men's Meeting with prayer and a teaching time I give to the men, then we always have a wonderful breakfast each Saturday morning at 8:00am.  My wife is in a Ladies meeting in Spanaway, Washington with twenty of our ladies.  She is have a great time.  I played golf with three of our assistant pastors yesterday morning after our wives left, and I came out with the lowest score by several strokes.  Today, I'm looking forward to making visits throughout the day.  Reading again in Numbers and getting into Deuteronomy, here is some thoughts:
1) RE-NUMBERED- Yes, before Numbers is over it numbers all of the people again!  In Numbers 26:64 it says: "But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai."  and verse 65 says: "And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua, the son of Nun."  They all died!  Yesterday, I told you how they numbered the men and today, they do it again.... after a generation has died off!  Let us be willing to be counted for Christ, and not counted out!
2) BE SURE!  There are some things in life that we can be sure about... and one of them is found in Numbers 32:23: "be sure your sin will find you out."  If sin will always find us out, then what do we do?  We find it out.... and confess it!  Yes, God is talking about the sin that we refuse to release, refuse to refrain from, refuse to deal with, refuse to confess and forsake.... this SIN, will ALWAYS find us out!!  It is universal, it is the heavenly decree... it will find us out!!  SO... confess the sin as the Holy Spirit first convicts you of something.  It is not the size or scope of the sin, it is our attitude about it.... let us be repentant and broken and acknowledge our sins to a Holy God and keep the right relationship He wants us to have with Him.
3) TESTIMONY- In Deut. 2:36 it is said: "there was not one city too strong for us: the LORD our God delivered all unto us:"  This was the prediction of Joshua and Caleb!  They knew they were WELL ABLE with God's help.  We are not to have "self-confidence" but we are to have "GOD confidence".  WE are to be confident of what God has for us to accomplish that with His help.... it will get done!!
4) EVERY WORD IS PRECIOUS- In Deut. 8:3 it says: "know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live."
Every word... I'm so glad that our Bible is Inspired and Preserved and that we have an every word Bible.  Now that you have it, what are you doing with it?  Are you in the Word every day?  Are you letting it clean you up?  It is like our daily bread.... we need it!!
Well, my time is again gone!  Have a blessed day and remember that tomorrow is Sunday!!
