ISAIAH

Today I'm in Isaiah again and want to point out just a thought or two:

1) THE KING IN HIS BEAUTY- Isaiah 33:17 says:  "Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty:"  One day.... we shall see the King!!  Either in death or the last trump of God, we will see King Jesus in all of his beauty.  Eccl. said that "he is altogether lovely", and we shall see Jesus, not as he walked upon the earth, but in all of his glory!  What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see, when I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace...  Wow!!   I cannot hardly wait, how about you?

2) NO ONE COMPARES- In Isaiah 40:18, a question is asked:  "To whom then will ye liken God?"  The answer is no one.  No one even comes close.  No one compares with the LORD.  The verse before (17) says: "All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity."  Verse 25 says: "To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One."  The rest of the chapter goes on to describe God to us and it is poetic and powerful!  Read it and enjoy!

3) HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE MESSENGERS- In Isaiah 52:7, it says: "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!"  Here we see that the messengers are very special people loved of the Lord and welcomed by the people of God.  Thus we honor God's men and the soul-winners who carry the Gospel to others!  Think about your pastor, how beautiful are his feet!!

Have a good day.  Pastor Mike Mutchler
