ISAIAH

Today is Friday.  Here are some thoughts from Isaiah for today:

1)HOLY SPIRIT GUIDENCE- Isaiah 30:21-"And thine ears shall hear a word behind  thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left."  The Holy Spirit has always desired to guide those who follow God.  We must desire to be led of the Spirit, then we must be sensitive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, and then we must be obedient to the guidence of the Holy Spirit.  Are you and I willing to be lead by the Holy Spirit today?  I want to be so led each and every day.  I wish I could say I am led each day by the Holy Spirit, but I can say that I desire to be so yielded by God's Holy Spirit.

2) READ THE BOOK Isaiah 34:16 tells us a wonderful truth with a great challenge to each of us.  It says:  "Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read:"  Just read.  People ask me how they can get more from God's Word, and they answer is simple.  Just read.  Just read when you don't feel like it, read early in the morning, read late at night, read each day of the week, just read and God will speak to your heart.  There are no secrets to getting MORE... unless it is this:  "Read MORE!"   We need to read the precious Word of God.  God has a book to bless us, guide us, instruct us, and draw us to Himself, .... but, we must read it!!

3) SEE and HEAR- Is. 42:20- "Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not."  As we read God's Word, and listen to preaching and teaching, we don't want to have our eyes closed to truth and instruction; nor our ears closed to hearing and receiving the Word of God.  This was Israel's problem, God spoke and showed them but they acted deaf and blind to God's instructions.  Let us not be among that crowd!

4) OLD AGE VERSE- Isaiah 46:4 "And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you:  I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you."  What a Promise!!  No need to worry about growing old and feeble, because our God is still just as youthful and strong as ever!!  And when we stand in His presence, we too will be strong and young again!

Hope you have a great day!
