I WILL LEAD ON SOFTLY

Today is Saturday, and I have a Mens Meeting soon, so here is one thought from the passage I looked at this morning:

I WILL LEAD ON SOFTLY- When Jacob and Esau finally meet, Esau said that Jacob and his flocks and family could follow him.  But in verse 14, Jacob responds with this:  "Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servants:  and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle tht goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir."  From this passage, I have embraced a philosophy concerning Church leadership.  It is how I choose to lead my staff, my assistants and my people.  I do my best to lead softly.  People don't move quickly.  They are like the cattle and children of Jacob.  They are best lead softly.  The faster you lead, the more you will lose.  More will fall to the wayside if leadership moves too fast.  This principle can be found successful in Husband - Wife relationships, Employer- Employee relationships, Father- Family relationships, etc.  We must realize that it is best to lead softly.  Isn't that the way God deals with us?  Isn't He gracious and patient with us?  Yes, He is and I'm so glad that He is!  Let us resolve to adopt the same type of leadership.  Let us lead on softly.

Hope you have a blessed day!!
