Hebrews 1

Last night, I stayed out late with a couple and their daughter from Tennessee.  They were a young college couple who attended church with my family when I was just a teenager.  They were discipled by my father, and they are wonderful Christians.  Kenny and Linda Ross, and their daughter Kenda.  It was such a treat to see them and to spend time talking.  We talked till 11:00pm at Sheri's and could have talked all night.  What a joy!  Cannot wait until Heaven to spend time with such people and have the time to talk all things out.  Have a blessed day Ken, Linda, and Kenda!  You are very special people in my book.  I so looked up to this couple when I was a teenager, and I still do today!  Love you guys!

I am flying down to California today to preach and then fly back tomorrow, so I don't have much time to write this morning, but I began in Hebrews and so I will write something about chapter one.

1) CHRIST IS GOD!  Yes, Hebrews chapter one makes that perfectly clear.
vs. 2- "spoken unto us by his Son"
vs. 2- "heir of all things"
vs. 2- "by whom also he made the worlds"
vs. 3- "brightness of his glory"
vs. 3- "express image of his person"
vs. 3- "upholding all things by the word of his power"
vs. 3- "by himself purged our sins"
vs. 3- "sat down on the Majesty on high"
vs. 5- "Thou are my Son"
vs. 6- "let all the angels of God worship him.."
vs. 8- "unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever"
vs.10- "Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth"
vs. 10- "and the heavens are the works of thine hands"
vs. 11- "thou remainest"
vs. 12- "thou art the same"

These verses PROVE that JESUS is GOD!  Wow!!  Praise God.

2) ANGELS- Angels were created by God to give Him praise and glory and to help us that come to Christ by faith.  So says verse 14- "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?"  (That's us!!)  Angels help us out in ways that we will only learn about once we are in Heaven.  Until then.... let us thank God for their help!
