ISAIAH

It's Saturday morning, and soon I will be speaking at church to the Men of Destiny, Saturday teaching, prayer meeting, and breakfast.  It is a joy to spend time with some of our men.  They are all great guys!

Here are a few thoughts from Isaiah:
1) WHAT HAVE THEY SEEN IN THY HOUSE?
Isaiah 39:4, we have that question asked.  Isaiah is asking Hezekiah that question.  He has showed all his wealth to the King of Babylon, and it will be Babylon that swoops down upon Judah and steals their wealth and takes them captive.  Why would Hezekiah do such a dumb thing??  Well, the same reason some Christians would keep music that does not belong in their house, keep videos that do not belong in their house, keep novels, books, etc that do not belong in their house.  If Jesus went snooping in your house, what would He find?  (He already is!)  Get rid of everything that does not exalt the Savior.
2) EASY BELIEVEISM
We as soul-winning Christians get often accused of easy believeism.  Meaning we pray with people and think they are saved because of that prayer.  No, we believe they are saved because they have trusted Christ as their Savior.  In Isaiah 45:22 the Bible says: "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth:  for I am God, and there is none else."  It seems like God is here making it easy to be saved, not hard.  Look!  and be saved!  In Romans 10:13, it says: "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved."  Looks pretty easy to me! (By the way, how hard would you want it to be for someone to get to Heaven?)
3) KEEP IN THE BATTLE!
Having a rough time?  Think you may in the next year?  Well, many may do just that, but God's Word teaches us to stay in the Battle.  In Isaiah 50:10 it says: "Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light?  let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God."  Keep in the Battle!!  Don't let problems and obstacles stop you from going forward with God.  STAY upon the LORD.... Isa 26:3  "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
Have a blessed day!!  Pastor Mike Mutchler..... tomorrow is Sunday!!
