WHEN FAITH SEEMS UNREASONABLE

Today is Friday.  We speak of it as Good Friday, but Bible believing people know that Jesus was not crucified on Friday, but on Wednesday, and was in the tomb Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.... and arose on Sunday!    So Happy Resurrection Sunday!  Today, I have a truth for you called:

WHEN FAITH SEEMS UNREASONABLE- In II Kings 5:10-14, we see that Naaman was told by Elisha to go and dip seven times in the muddy River Jordan.  Seven times was a lot of times to dip, but at least the number seven was given to Naaman.  But don't you see how totally unreasonable that seemed to Naaman.  Even he himself expected some great display of power.  A "made for TV" production and then he would be healed.  But, Elisha only sent his servant to say:  go dip seven times in the River Jordan and you will be healed.  But Naaman's servant persisted and Naaman was healed!  Faith followed may seem unreasonable at times, but it is always fruitful when we follow faith in God.  How about when Joshua was to march around Jericho seven times.  Boy, that didn't make any sense, but it worked!  God said: Joshua 6:2--5-  "And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.  And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.  And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him."  Joshua followed these instructions from the LORD, and they worked!  God always comes through!  How about when Elijah told his servant to go look for a cloud, seven different times in:
I Kings 18:42-44 . finally he saw a cloud the size of a man's hand.... but that was all that was needed!  God came through and the drought was ended!
Remember this:
1. There are times we know what God says, but it goes against what we know by experience or by our senses.  Have faith!!
2. There are times we pray and there are no answers forthcoming, but by faith we keep on praying.  Have Faith!!
Have a happy and blessed day dear friend!
