PSALMS 46

What a wonderful time I had with two of my children and all of my grandchildren yesterday on Memorial Day.  It was a blessing!  Pushed them on the tree swing, went up in the tree house with them, played pitch and had batting practice with the boys.  What a joy they are to me.

Today, I started in Psalms 46, and here is a thought or two:

TRANQUILITY IN THE MIDST OF CHAOS- David chooses one over another.  He starts by telling us that GOD is a very present help in time of trouble.  He is there before you need Him!  He is our refuge and strength.  And because of this.... when Chaos comes (and it will), he is not moved.  Though the seas rage, the mountains shake, the earth moves, the rivers roar.... there is a quiet place in the presence of God... the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God.... God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved:  God shall help her, and that right early."  Wow.... Tranquility in the midst of chaos.  Lord, help me to remember this!!

ONE DAY- "He maketh the wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire."  One day, wars shall cease... the Milillial reign of Jesus Christ on the earth will come.  "Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."  Christ will sit on a throne on earth and we shall reign with Him for 1,000 years here on the earth in peace and tranquility.  Praise God for this day coming our way!!

Have a blessed day and week.  May God be real to you today.  Pastor Mike Mutchler
