I enjoyed preaching last night on the subject of Helping our Helpers. The Pastor of your church is the greatest helper you have, and we need to help him. There seems to be so much infighting in many churches that Pastors are quitting the ministry at a rate of 1,700 a month! Wow! Well, every church is not a blessing like Grand View Baptist Church is to this pastor. The vast majority of our people work to encourage their pastor and be kind to him. Praise The Lord! Well, here is the truth for today:<br />
<br />
Multiplied- In Acts 9:31, it says: "Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of The Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied." Multiplication is the way to win the world to Christ. Addition will never reach the masses. The crowd is too big to add them to what we have. So how does this Multiplication get started? We have to divide first. We have to send forth out of our churches the resources God has given to us, and not use them for us, but use them to have some Preacher share Christ around the World. This is the goal of Missions. Planting Churches around the world so that many get saved in one small location, and then planting more churches. This must be our goal. We have to work at this all the time. If one leads several to Christ, and they lead several to Christ, and those lead several to Christ, .... that is not addition. That amounts up to large numbers quickly. We must win, we must teach, we must reach, and those we win, teach, and reach, must share The Lord Jesus Christ too! Multiplied.... that is the way to go!<br />
<br />
Have a blessed day! Pastor Mike Mutchlerwebmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01812811537922229067noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7255273358846286461.post-87237528100027866312012-10-15T07:58:00.003-07:002012-10-15T07:58:57.888-07:00THE HARDEST GROUP TO WIN OVER<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">THE HARDEST GROUP TO WIN OVER- In John 7:5 is says: "For neither did his brethren believe in him." Jesus was the Son of God, and yet his own brothers did not believe in him. Jesus said also in: Mark 6:4 "But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house." Notice this verse: Matthew <a href="x-apple-data-detectors://0" x-apple-data-detectors-result="0" x-apple-data-detectors-type="calendar-event" x-apple-data-detectors="true">13:55</a> "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?" Jesus had four brothers and the next verse says: Mat <a href="x-apple-data-detectors://1" x-apple-data-detectors-result="1" x-apple-data-detectors-type="calendar-event" x-apple-data-detectors="true">13:56</a> "And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?" Jesus had several sisters as well. Yet, "neither did his brethren believe in him." The hardest group to win over is always your family and those closest to you. And yet... Jesus did win them over! One of his brothers wrote the book of James and was a leader in the Church. The pastor of the Church in Jerusalem! Then one of his brothers wrote the book of Jude warning about false doctrine. He did win them over! And with God's help and patience, you can too!</span>webmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01812811537922229067noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7255273358846286461.post-71832797535800585582012-10-05T13:45:00.001-07:002012-10-05T13:45:40.901-07:00HOW ABOUT THE HEDGE?<div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:garamond, new york, times, serif;font-size:12pt"><div><span style="font-family: tahoma, 'new york', times, serif;">Today is Friday, and a beautiful, but windy day. I am looking forward to going to the gym and then to the office. I have one or two appointments and a lot of study to accomplish. Then this evening, we will go visiting on the Bus Routes and I'm looking forward to that. I hope you have a great day. Here is a truth to share:</span></div><div><span style="font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif;"><br></span></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; "><span style="font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif;"><span style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); font-weight: bold;">KEEP IN THE BATTLE!</span><br style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); "><span style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); ">Having a rough time? Think you may in the next year? Well, many may do just that, but God's Word teaches us to stay in the Battle. In <span style="font-weight: bold;">Isaiah 50:10</span> it says: "Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God." Keep in the Battle!! You may have battles in your home, at work, or even in your Church. Battles are unfortunately a part of life. Don't run from them, embrace the ONE who can get you through all of them! Don't let problems and obstacles stop you from going forward with God. STAY upon the LORD.... <span style="font-weight: bold;">Isaiah 26:3</span> "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." </span></span><br></div><div style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; font-size: 15.833333015441895px; font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><span style="font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif;"><span style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); "><br></span></span></div><div style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; font-size: 15.833333015441895px; font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><span style="font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif;"><span style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); ">Hope this helps! Here is a thought for today:</div><div style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><br></div><div style="background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; "><span style="font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><span><span style="font-weight: bold; ">A GIFT FROM GOD- In Numbers 8:17-19</span>, it explains that when God smote the firstborn of Egypt, that night He sanctified all of the firstborn children of Israel for Himself. He goes on to say that <span style="text-decoration: underline;">He took the Levites</span> for all the firstborn of the children of Israel. So, instead of taking the firstborn of every tribe... God took a tribe... the Levites. Now, verse 19 says that "<span style="text-decoration: underline;">I have given the Levites as a gift</span> to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel..." Not only were the Levites a gift, but the Israelites had to take care of them as they served the tabernacle and made atonement for the children of Israel. In verse 20, it says "... did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them." God told them to take care of them and they did. Now, in the New Testament, it says that they which preach the Gospel should live of the Gospel. In Ephesians chapter 4, God says He gave gifts to man: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors, and Teachers. These are a gift from God and should be recognized as such. It is the clear teaching of the Bible. So again, the church takes care of the God called men and women who serve in a local church on a full or part-time basis. </span> </span><br></div><div style="background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 15.833333015441895px; font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><span style="font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><br></span></div><div style="background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 15.833333015441895px; font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><span style="font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; ">Have a blessed day! I enjoyed teaching at our Men's Prayer Breakfast this morning. What a wonderful time I have each Saturday at 8am with many of our men. Here is a thought for today:</div><div style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; "><span style="font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><strong style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); ">WE WILL SERVE THE LORD- In Joshua 24:15</strong><span style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); ">, Joshua said: "but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua had decided that he would make a difference. He would serve God regardless of what others chose to do. Isn't that what we too should do? Of course it is! But notice this: When one man stands.... others stand along side of him. The people of Israel said in </span><strong style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); ">verse 21</strong><span style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); ">: "we will serve the LORD", and in </span><strong style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); ">verse 24</strong><span style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); ">: "The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey." Joshua took his stand for God and his stand caused others to take a stand for the LORD as well. Now notice this as well: In </span><strong style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); ">verse 31</strong><span style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); "> it reads: "And Israel served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that overlived Joshua, and which had known all the works of the LORD, that he had done for Israel." Joshua took a stand... "as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD". Then the people stood up for the LORD as well: "we will serve the LORD". AND... they did so till Joshua died, and all who knew him died as well! What powerful influence for the cause of the LORD!! May we also take our stand when it seems we will stand alone... we can inspire others!!</span> </span><br></div><div style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; font-size: 15.833333015441895px; font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><span style="font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><br></span></div><div style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; font-size: 15.833333015441895px; font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; "><span style="font-family: garamond, 'new york', times, serif; ">Have a blessed day! God has a plan He is working out in our lives, in our families, in our church, in our community, in our town, in our city, in our county, in our state, in our region of the country, in our nation, in our hemisphere, in our world, in our universe..... This is the call of faith. This is also the faith that God wants us to possess. By faith, we pray for things and trust God for things we cannot see. We do not see the end of a matter, but by faith.... we trust Him for the end of the matter to come out well! By faith, we speak it as coming out well. I tell my people all of the time.... don't worry, it is going to work out fine in the end. Now I cannot see that by sight, but by faith I announce that to them. By faith, I know God will take care of us! By faith, I know that God will provide for our Church! By faith, I know the end will be marvelous! I am in Santa Clara, CA with the Pastors and Workers Conference at NVBC. Dr. Trieber is our host. It has been a blessing to hear preaching and teaching that blesses the soul. Here is a thought for today:</div><div><br></div><div>SOWING AND REAPING- Hosea 8:7 "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind:" Here we see the principle of sowing and reaping that is found all throughout the Bible. Notice we reap what we sow. wind.... whirlwind; notice we reap more than we sow: wind....... whirlwind; notice we reap later than we sow: sown..... reap; and notice those who sow are those who reap: they have sown....... they shall reap. Let us never forget this simple, powerful, profound, principle of God that He has established in life! We reap what we sow! Now it has a good results as well: Hosea <a href="x-apple-data-detectors://0" x-apple-data-detectors="true" x-apple-data-detectors-result="0">10:12</a> "Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy;" Again, all of the principles apply, but for the good! That is sowing the good seed!<br><br>Pastor Mike Mutchler <br>Sent from my iPad</div>webmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01812811537922229067noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7255273358846286461.post-86295441254165098982012-09-10T04:13:00.001-07:002012-09-10T04:13:52.836-07:00God's Poured Out SpiritGOD'S POURED OUT SPIRIT- Joel 2:28,29 "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy and your old me shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit." On the day of Pentecost, when the disciples experienced the fulness of the Holy Spirit, this reference to what God said in Joel is brought up. It was a fulfillment of this prophecy. We now can have the fullness of the Holy Spirit because God promised to pour out His Spirit on His children. Those who are saved! The indwelling we get at Salvation, the fulness we get as we yield ourselves to Jesus Christ!

I so enjoyed teaching last night on The Names & Titles of God. It was a blessing to me to cover Isaiah 9:6 (Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace). Five titles in one verse and they all prophetically refer to our Savior, God's Son, Jesus Christ! Wow! He is truly WONDERFUL!! Here is a thought for today:</div><div><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">MUTUAL GLORIFICATION- John 17:1 "These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:" Jesus is asking the Father to glorify Him, so that He might glorify the Father. They had mutual glorification in mind. Now if two persons in the Trinity seek to glorify each other, what should our desire be? We ought to live to bring honor and glory to our God. We cannot add to their glory, but we can acknowledge their glory. We don't "give" glory to God, because He has it all already. But we can point out that He alone is worthy of glory! We praise Him because He desires praise from His children. Are we glorifying the LORD by our actions, tongue, thoughts, etc? That certainly should be our Goal. "In my life, Lord, be glorified, be glorified, in my life Lord be glorified today." I have not sung that song in many years, but we need to start using it again and live everyday to glorify our LORD!!</div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">Have a blessed day! I'm excited because I get to preach elementary chapel and then high school chapel, and then our Mid Week Service on the Names and Titles of Christ. Yesterday we started our Christian School and it is such a blessing to see students who love God meeting together to be taught and influenced by Teachers who love God and who love to teach their students. Some classes I went into had as low as six students for one grade. That is an amazing ratio. Without the support of our adults at Church, we just couldn't make it, but they believe in Christian Education. I looking forward to the day. The thought I came up today came from reading in the Book of John. Here it is:</div><div><span style="font-weight: bold;"><br></span></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">GOD'S TIMING- John 16:18</span> "They said therefore, What is this that he saith, <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">A little while</span></span>? we cannot tell what he saith." Thirteen times in ten verses, we see the phrase "a little while". This phrase is used of the death and departure of Christ in the book of John, and then in Hebrews it is used concerning the coming of our Lord. Well, apparently,.... God's timing is different than ours. It was "a little while" and Jesus would be slain for our sins; but, it has been a while, and Jesus has not come back yet.... by the way.... He will! Hebrews says: <span style="font-weight: bold;"><span><span>Hebrews 10:3</span>7</span></span> "For yet <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">a little while</span></span>, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry." He will come again, and it will be "a little while"; but, it will only be thus because God's timing is different than ours. Friend, could I confess to you that one of my hardest tasks in the Christian Life is to accept His timing over mine. I must trust His Wisdom, His Will, His Plan for my life in every situation. He comes through in His own timing. But, sometimes His timing means He will not come through for us. That is difficult for us to accept. That God's timing would include us failing, us being hurt, our loved ones dying, etc. But, He knows best! Many a Christian has lost their homes in the last few years. Christian die of cancer and are not healed by the Lord. Many experience divorce, hardships, pain, suffering, etc.; and yet, God chose not to come through and heal, fix, reverse, intervene, etc. Why? Well, in Heaven we will find out. But until then, let us learn to trust His timing and believe Him when Christ says: "a little while". Soon! Yes, soon, my friend, it will all be over. <span style="font-weight: bold;">Psalms 27:14</span> "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."</div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">Have a blessed day! AND YET<div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:garamond, new york, times, serif;font-size:12pt"><div>Today is Tuesday, the first day of School for GVCA. We are so excited about what God will be doing in the lives of our students. I know God has great things in store for us. Please pray with me that God will help our school and meet every need that will arise. Here is a thought for today:</div><div><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">A DOOR AND YET.... In II Corinthians 2:12</span> it says: "and a door was opened unto me of the LORD." and yet the next verse reads: "I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia." Now, here is the thought: Just because God opens up a door of opportunity, does not mean you are at perfect peace. There are still many adversaries and problems. Just go through the door and deal with the trials! Faith in God's ability will push you ever forward, dependency upon your abilities will draw you back to do nothing! Expect trials....it is a part of life!</div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">Just a small thought. Have a blessed day. Pastor Mike Mutchler<br></div></div>webmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01812811537922229067noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7255273358846286461.post-25476747999902103322012-09-03T14:31:00.001-07:002012-09-03T14:31:47.193-07:00FOUR GENERATIONS<div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:garamond, new york, times, serif;font-size:12pt"><div>Today is Labor Day. A holiday throughout America. I've heard that there are 23,000,000 people out of work, or under employed right now. That is a sad thought. I hope you get to enjoy the day with your family.</div><div><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">FOUR GENERATIONS- Job 42:16 says: "After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his son's sons, even four generations." So, how old was Job? Well he was old enough to have ten fully grown children before they were killed and probably if he followed the pattern of Issac would have been about 40 when he married and perhaps 60 when he had his first child. Throw in about 16 years to have ten children and he was perhaps 70 or even 80 before his children died. Then another year to put all of the suffering into, and then another 16 years to have seven sons, and three daughters, and then.... add 140 years! What do you get? Well, I come up with about 226 or 236! Older than Abraham who died at 175. You see, this is just another reason some say that Job was the oldest patriarch mentioned in the Bible after the tower of Babel. He knew God and loved God, and God allowed him to be used to teach us so many, many lessons. Perhaps God would like to use our lives as well? Let us let Him!</div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">May God bless! <br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">Pastor Mike Mutchler<br></div></div>webmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01812811537922229067noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7255273358846286461.post-32866260097925299192012-09-02T08:18:00.001-07:002012-09-02T08:18:28.938-07:00RECEIVING CHRIST<div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:garamond, new york, times, serif;font-size:12pt"><div>Today is Sunday! I love Sundays! I am looking forward to see how God chooses to bless His people. God has been doing so much this last year, Sunday after Sunday, and it has been amazing to see. He is blessing us so richly. I am always filled with anticipation of God's meeting with us. I hope you are too! Here is a thought for today:</div><div><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">RECEIVING CHRIST- In John 13:20, Jesus says to His disciples: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me." Now, we now that God calls people into ministry and sends them to labor for Him to different lands, countries, cities, areas. Here Jesus is stating that IF we receive someone He has sent, it is like receiving Jesus and the Father in person! Wow! Would you be a gracious host IF Jesus came home to eat Sunday dinner with you? If He showed up at your church, would you invite Him to spend some time with you? I'm thinking our answer would be YES! But, seldom if ever, do we think that the visiting Missionary or Pastor, or Evangelist, or retired person in ministry is like receiving Jesus. BUT, we are wrong! Jesus said to receive one whom He hath sent is like receiving Him. Now, doesn't that change how we should perceive those who are called of God and are serving Him? How do we treat our Pastor? Do you even shake his hand after he delivers a message? Do you greet him? Do you lighten his load, or ignore him and his load? As we receive him, is how we receive Jesus. This is a principle that comes to us right from the lips of Jesus on the night of His betrayal. Let us take heed to it and take it to heart. Hope you have a wonderful day at Church today!</div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">Pastor Mike Mutchler<br></div></div>webmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01812811537922229067noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7255273358846286461.post-12098072368421389362012-08-31T20:42:00.000-07:002012-08-31T20:43:00.085-07:00KEEP IN THE BATTLE<div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:garamond, new york, times, serif;font-size:12pt"><div>KEEP IN THE BATTLE!<br>Having a rough time? Think you may in the next year? Well, many may do just that, but God's Word teaches us to stay in the Battle. In Isaiah 50:10 it says: "Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God." Keep in the Battle!! Don't let problems and obstacles stop you from going forward with God. STAY upon the LORD.... Isa 26:3 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." <br>Have a blessed day!! I'm looking forward to Church tonight with the wonderful people of Grand View Baptist Church. We are going over the Names of God for the Wednesday Night Bible Studies, and I'm looking forward to sharing tonight another Title of Christ. Here is a truth to share today:<br><div id="yiv2049236308"><div><div style="color:#000;background-color:#fff;font-family:garamond, new york, times, serif;font-size:12pt;"><div id="yiv2049236308yui_3_2_0_27_134616568219542"><br id="yiv2049236308yui_3_2_0_27_134616568219559"></div><div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:16px;font-family:garamond, new york, times, serif;background-color:transparent;font-style:normal;" id="yiv2049236308yui_3_2_0_27_134616568219554">ONLY WISE- Romans 16:27 says: "To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen." Many smart men have traveled this earth.... only God is wise! God is the possessor and granter of wisdom. If any man lack wisdom, let Him ask of God. God is the source. God grants us wisdom and we and look with confidence to Him for answers that we do not possess. Look to God dear child.... linger in His presence.... lift up your voice to Him.... He is listening....now. He has the answers we need so desperately.... He can calm your trouble heart. Praise God!!<br><br>Have a blessed day! I'm looking forward to a full day. I hope your day is enjoyable as well. Here is a truth to share:</div><div>MIRACULOUS- In Acts 14: 6-10; we have a man cripple from his mother's womb, who Paul perceived had faith to be healed. He said to him "Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked." What a miracle! Now the question is why? Why was Paul given this miracle to perform? Well, Jesus marked His ministry with the miraculous and as a signet of God's power in the truth of the Gospel, this miracle was given to Paul to perform. So that the people would understand that Paul was representing Jesus Christ in the spreading of the Gospel, not some idea of Paul's. The same power of God manifested in the ministry of Jesus Christ was allowed to be manifest in the ministry of Paul to some degree so that all would understand that Paul is preaching the good news of Jesus Christ, not of himself. Whenever God feels the need to confirm His power and glory, God allows miracles to be performed. But, if a man thinks he has the power to perform miracles, then God will sit silently on the sidelines and watch him fail. God does not use miracles to magnify men, but to magnify the message! Let us rejoice in the miraculous answers to prayer and the wonders of God, but let it magnify the message! (not the one who prayed, and certainly not the one who was healed.) Is the message being shared more clearly and powerfully because God allowed a miracle to be performed? This should be our goal!</div><div><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">Have a blessed day. People saved, baptized, and joining the Church. A great crowd and a wonderful spirit among the whole church. We come to Church with expectancy and it is a huge blessing!</span> <span style="font-weight: normal;"> I just love our church! God is so good to us and has blessed us so richly. Here is a truth to share with you today:</span></div><div style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">HOW WE GIVE- In I Cor. 16:2</span>, it tells us three things about how we are to give:<span style="font-weight: bold;"> WHEN</span>- "Upon the first day of the week". This is Sunday by anyone's calendar! God wants us to give weekly. I get paid twice a month, but I give tithes and offerings every week. The first Sunday, I give my tithes and some offerings. On the second Sunday, I give my missions offering and more offerings, and then this is repeated as I'm paid again. If I have three Sundays before I get paid (five Sundays in one month), then I give more offerings on that Sunday. I will usually give about 30% of my income each month. <span style="font-weight: bold;">WHO-</span> "let every one of you lay by him in store," All of us should be giving to the work of the LORD. "Every one" means just that! Whether we have little or much, all of us have something to give to God's work. Giving is not about resources, it is about a heart for God. We give out of our love for the Savior. This is the supreme reason we do all that we do in the Christian life. <span style="font-weight: bold;">HOW MUCH-</span> "as God hath prospered him". This is how we give. We can only give after that God has prospered us. He has to give to us so that we can give back to Him! We give according to God's prospering us. I believe that all of us should give at least 10% of our increase to the Lord's work through the local church. I know of those who disagree, but I'll speak on what I believe. This verses tells us: WHEN, WHO, and HOW MUCH.</div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">Have a blessed day!! We have a garage sale at Church today and about 90 families are taking part in it. It looks to be a good day weather wise as well. I hope you enjoy this little bit of truth to share:</div><div><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">THE PROBLEM</span>- I am an advocate of traditional church. I make no apologies for that because I think I am on good historical ground and good biblical ground. The emerging church movement wants to befriend the world to reach the world. We are told in scripture to befriend Christ and reach the world because He loves the people of the world. Not their attitudes, dress, actions, influence, etc... He just loves sinners! Now, here is the problem: <span style="font-weight:bold;">James 4:4</span> "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? <span style="text-decoration:underline;">whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.</span>" The new church movement wants to dress like the world, act like the world, sing like the world, have music like the world, and yet.... they are winning almost no one, because they are such a friend of the world, they are not the friend of God, but rather the enemy. Now, friend, that is Bible! God has a right to say what He wants from His children, and He has just told us in this verse. He does not want us to be friends with the world! Just who do we want to get close to anyway? I choose God. (but I also work to lead people to Christ all the time.)</div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">Hope you have a blessed day!</div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: garamond,new york,times,serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">Pastor Mike Mutchler<br></div></div>webmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01812811537922229067noreply@blogger.com0
