JEREMIAH

My what a blessed day we had at Church yesterday.  What a wonderful week it has been.  This week should prove to be a little slower and I'm looking forward to that as well.  Last week we had a great conference with Dr. Jack Schaap and then on Thursday, I had another grand child born to Jonathan and Tiffany Mutchler, little Natalyn Bell.  She is a beauty!  God is soooo good!!  Here are a few things to share from Jeremiah:

1) PUT YOUR NECK IN THE YOKE- Jeremiah 27:12 says:  "Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live."  This came from Jeremiah, given by God, to the people of Judah, but they would not listen.  The principle is this:  Put your neck in the yoke that comes from your authorities, and it will be well with thee.  Yield to your boss and work hard willingly and God will bless you!  Work for the company and do your best and God will bless you!  Yield to your parents and serve them obediently and you will be blessed.  The yoke will one day come off and you will be the leader, not the servant, but until then, put your neck into the yoke and serve your authorities!  Profound principle of life.

2) NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD-  Jeremiah 32:17  "Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:"   Jeremiah 32:27  "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?"     God can do anything, anything, anything; God can do anything, but fail!   Oh how our confidence, our faith, our dependence ought to be in a God who can do anything!  How we need His help and deliverance in our everyday lives, but certainly we should rejoice in His ability to do anything!  Nothing is impossible with God.  He can do anything!

3) PRAYER PROMISE-Jeremiah 33:3  "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."   This is my greatest prayer promise in all of the Bible.  I love it and need to apply it more and more in my life.  I use it often and remind God that He said it, not me.  I bring it up to God often, but need to do so even more so.  The needs are great, and I know God is able.  He can do so much more than we would ever ask.  In the New Testament it says:  Ephesians 3:20  "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,"   Great prayer promises... let us use them!

4) THEY SET JEREMIAH FREE- Jeremiah was chained up and ready to be taken to Babylon, when Nebuzar-adan, the captain of the Babylonian host set him free and told him that he could come to Babylon and be taken care of there or go any other place He wanted to go.  Jeremiah 40:4-5 tells us this.  He chose to go to Mizpah, and after than decision, Mizpah is mentioned 12 times in the next two chapters.  Jeremiah made Mizpah important!

Well, got to go for today.  Have a blessed day in the Lord!  Pastor Mike Mutchler
