Today is Sunday!  I love Sundays!  I'm looking forward to seeing what God has for us today.  It is going to be a good day, I'm sure.  This morning, I saw a double rainbow from our back door.  It truly was beautiful and reminds us of a great God we serve.  I have a thought for today and it is this:

HOLY BRETHREN- In Hebrews 3:1, it reads:  Wherefore, Holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;"  The Bible calls us "Holy brethren".  Wow!  Yesterday at our men's breakfast, I asked:  "Do you see yourself as you see yourself, or do you see yourself as God's Word says you are?  We are called Saints, but we see ourselves as Sinners.  We are called Cleansed, but we see ourselves as Unclean.  We are called Peculiar, but we see ourselves as Common.  We are called Holy brethren, but we see ourselves as Unholy brethren.  Now who is right?  What we see? or What God says about us?  The Bible says that we walk by faith, not by sight.  So, the key is to believe what God says about us by faith, not what we see in the mirror or acted out before us.  Yes, we are flawed in our flesh, but we are perfected in our spirit.  Yes, we have a lifetime of sinful failures, but yes, all of those sins have been forgiven and paid for on the cross.  So we are forgiven, we are Holy, we are Special to God, we are Cleansed, we are Saints, we are Kings and Priest to our God, we are Royalty, (children of the King), we are those who will spend eternity with out LORD forever singing His praises and serving our LORD!  Holy brethren.... get used to the name!

Hope you have a special day.  Pastor Mike Mutchler
