EXODUS AND LEVITICUS

I was out of town Sunday Evening preaching in John Day, OR, and did not come back until last night. (Monday at 11:30am)  I took the long way home and drove for about nine hours it seemed, but I saw Old Western Towns and even fished one lake for two hours.  A lot of bits, but nothing hooked that stayed on.  So, I'm behind on my typing and will catch up in the next few days.  Also, I spent 35 minutes this morning, typing the blog, only to push the button to post it and wipe out everything I wrote!  Now, for the second time.... (This day will only get better from here!)  How's your day??

1) Spirit Filled Workers.  Praise God for the godly Laymen who work, give, go, and build a work for Christ.  Moses had them in the book of Exodus.  They needed to build the tabernacle, and God put His Spirit in the willing workers and givers for the project.  We too are building a work for God and need willing workers surrendered to the Holy Spirit and led by Him.  Exod. 31:3-6; 35:5,10,26,29,31-35; 36:1-7.  These verses all describe the men and women who were used of God.  God put His Spirit into them to do these things, but they were "willing workers" and that is how it all starts!  Lord, let us be willing today!

2) FACE TO FACE.  In Exod. 33:11 it says:  "And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face".  The Bible says of Moses: Deu 34:10 "And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,"  And yet, Moses did not see the face of God, he only spoke face to face with God.  The Bible says in Exod. 33:23 "thou shalt see by back parts:  but my face shall not be seen."  So, Moses had to wait to get to Heaven to see the face of God, and we too will see His face in Heaven as well.  Rev 22:4 "And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads."

3) Shikinah Glory-  In Exodus 40:34, when the tabernacle was finished, "Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle."  God's presence was manifested in the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night that watched over the Israelites.  Now, the cloud descends upon the tabernacle and this is the glory of God.  We too have the glory of God dwelling with us!!  The Holy Spirit!!  Lord, help us to realize that your presence is with us today and your glory goes with us as well.

4) After describing the sacrifices in the first nine chapters of Leviticus, it says in Lev. 9:24 "And there came a fire from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat:  which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces."

God described the sacrifices, approved them, and started the fire supernaturally!!  We also should have the fire of God burning within us as well.  A fire to serve the Lord and please Him.

Well, I'm signing off for the second time today!  Hope you have a blessed day!  Dr. Mike Mutchler
