JOHN & ACTS

We had a wonderful start to our Youth Explosion Revival with many teens from the public schools coming and about a dozen getting saved.  I guess there were 127 teenagers in all.  It was an exciting time.  Here are a few thoughts from John and Acts:

1) OUR SPIRIT GUIDE- I've heard the secular world talk about spirit guides from time to time, but as a Christian, we actually have one!  In John 16:13 it says: "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth."  The Holy Spirit of God is our guide and He only guides us into truth and ways that are pleasing to our LORD.  Let the world talk about their false guides (blind leading the blind), but we have the one true guide, the Holy Spirit.

2) LET THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW!  In John 19, we see Jesus being crucified for our sins.  On His cross, Pilate wrote a title that said: "JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS."  And, in verse 20 we see that it was written in "Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin."  These were the three major languages of that area, and Greek and Latin were the major languages of the known world.  In other words, Pilate wanted the whole world to know.  The Bible was written in common Greek, so the whole world could know.  Jesus sent out His disciples, so the whole world could know.  On Pentecost they spoke in known Gentile languages, so the whole world could know.  Today we send out missionaries, so the whole world can know.  What are you doing to let the whole world know??  Think about it.

3) GETTING THE WORD OUT- In Acts 5:42, it says: "And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ."  The same methods work today, taking the message door to door sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.  In just a few weeks, we will pass out 20,000 invitation to our church in two weeks, and then have an "Open House".  The goal is to get many different visitors on that day driving in;  I believe it will be a big day for us and it is just another way to get the word out.  The goal is to see people trust Christ as their personal Savior.  I hope that you are working to accomplish that same goal wherever you are today.

May God bless you, and please continue to pray for the Teen Revival, God is hearing and answering our prayers.  Pastor Mike Mutchler
