ENJOYING MORE IN ISAIAH

Today is Saturday.  I will be meeting with the men for our prayer breakfast.  I give a devotion and we pray together.  It is a great time for the men and myself.  I love these guys.  Today I am in Isaiah again and I enjoy reading the book of Isaiah.  There are so many wonderful truths to enjoy.  Here are some:
1) GOD HAS EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS- God is all alone in being god.  Though there has always been many who claim to serve and worship another god, God tells us that He has not seen them anywhere, and since He inhabits everywhere, that means there are no other gods.  He tells us this in Isaiah over and over: Isaiah 43:11  "I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour."; Isaiah 44:6  "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God."; Isaiah 44:8  "Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any."; Isaiah 45:5  "I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:"; Isaiah 45:18  "For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else."; Isaiah 45:21  "Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me."; Isaiah 45:22  "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else."; Isaiah 46:9  "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,"; Isaiah 47:10  "For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me."; I think God is making it very plain that He Exclusively is God, and God alone!
2) GOD OF MY OLD AGE- Isaiah 46:4  "And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you."  I love this verse, especially as I get older.  God is our God even in our old age.  Even to our gray (hoar) hair.  He will carry us; He made us; He bears us; and He will deliver us safely to Heaven!  Praise God when we are weak, He is strong.  He will hold our right hand saying to us:  "Fear not, I am with thee."  Let your old age be a time that God becomes more precious to you.  Talk with Him more, and walk with Him more!
3) HOW BIG IS GOD?  Isaiah 48:12-13  "Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.  Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together."  These verses tell us that God is eternal, God will always be with us, and God is very, very Big!  He says in verse 13 that his right hand hath measured out the heavens in a span.  Also we read in: Isaiah 40:12  "Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?"  Now a span for a man is the distance between his thumb and little finger being spread as far as they can spread.  (Usually around 9 inches for a man.)  God can span the universe with His right hand!  Brother.... that is BIG!!!  Fear not, we serve a very Big GOD!!!
Hope these have been a blessing to you as they are to me.  Hope you have a great day, and a great day tomorrow on Sunday!  Yeah, it's Sunday tomorrow!  Don't forget to turn your clocks forward one hour today.  God bless!
