Genesis 41-Exodus 10

A lot has happened from yesterday till today.  My brother-in-law, Craig White, was found deceased by my wife when she opened the guest room with her key.  She had tried to contact him several times and became worried, only to find him sitting back in his recliner passed away. (probably for two days)  Well, of course Vicky was shocked and saddened.  They were so close.  We were comforted as our children came together and our church family.  What a comfort God gives through people you love.  Thank you Jesus!  So, our day was filled with that tragic event and will have effect for some time to come.  Please pray for my dear wife as she will greatly miss her brother who lived in our guest room off of our garage.

I want to share but a few thoughts, although I have many I could share today.  Here are a few:

1) WATCH YOURSELF-  Having revealed himself to his brethren, Joseph instructs his brethren to take wagons and bring back his father and their families and not to even worry about their stuff, but come back to Egypt where Joseph will take care of them.  And in Chapter 45, verse 24 he says: "So he sent his brethren away, and they departed:  and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way."  So, he sends them away with the goal of coming back to a land of plenty, and now he gives them this one last word of advice or warning:  "See that ye fall not out by the way."  Listen dear friend, God has a good life for you, Salvation has been assured and provided in full, and His will is best for your life!  So, "See that ye fall not out by the way."  Don't get sidetracked from God's will for you.  I have unfortunately seen far too many Christians "fall out by the way".  They were saved, and going forward in God's will, but now they are saved and outside of God's will for their lives.  Let us all be reminded of Joseph's warning and take heed to it.

2) HIS UNSEEN HELPER-Gen. 49:24, says of Joseph:  "But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty  God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)  Now, Jacob says this of Joseph as he blessed him before his death.  He is saying that Joseph became strong, because of God's unseen hands that strengthened him!  The mighty God of Jacob, had his around Joseph's arms and strengthened him.  God's arms also strengthen us!  Thank you Jesus!

Well, that is all for today.  Thank you for your prayers.  Pastor Mike Mutchler
