Ezekiel 7-16

Today is Sunday.  I didn't have time for yesterday's blog until the day begun, and then the day filled up with activity.  Today, I am so looking forward to Church and Sunday School.  I hope you are too!  I read in Ezekiel 7 through 16 this morning, and here are some thoughts to share with you:
1) THE END IS COME- In Ezekiel 7, God tells Ezekiel to let the nation of Israel know that the end is come.  We see it in several verses and many phrases like: verses: 2-"An end, the end is come"; 3- "Now is the end come"; 5- "behold, is come"; 6 "An end is come; the end is come:  it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come."; 7-"the time is come"; 10- "it is come"; 12- "The time is come"  One of these days, the inhabitants of Earth will also know that "the end is come"!  God has warned us and warned us, and we can be ready IF we have trusted Christ as our Savior and we live for Christ.  This is the key!  We cannot change Earths outcome, but we can change our outcome.  The Earth is headed for Judgment, but we can be headed to our rewards in Heaven.
2) THEY SHALL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD- In Ezekiel 7:27 it ends the verse with:  "and they shall know that I am the LORD."  Now this phrase is found 26 times throughout Ezekiel.  I read it many times this morning.  God not only will judge the wicked, but will bring them to a point that they shall know the God is the LORD and that Jesus Christ is God, our Savior!  Revelation 1:7, says this:  "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen."
3) GOD IS A MIND READER!  In Ezekiel 11:5, it says:  "... for I know the things tht come into your mind, every one of them."  God knows our thoughts.  God knows the imaginations of our hearts.  Ezekiel 14:3, it says:  "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart".  We certainly out to guard our thoughts as well as our actions, but also be mindful that "if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts."  We surely should be thankful we are saved by God's grace, because even our own thoughts can condemn us.  God knows us very well, that is why all of us should walk humbly before our God.
Well, it's Sunday!  I'm going to get finished getting ready for Church this morning.  Looking forward to it.  Hope to see you tomorrow dear friend.
