I & II CHRONICLES

Another day in Pastor's School.  Beautiful weather, sunny in the 70's.  It was great as tonight Dr. Jack Trieber preached a wonderful message.  He knocked it out of the ballpark... in the grandstands!  It was great!  One of the very best I've ever heard.  I'm in I Chronicles and finish up in II Chronicles and here are three quick thoughts:

1) CAPTAINS OF 100's AND 1,000's- In I Chron. 12:14 it says "one of the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand."  There were in David's army these captains over 100 and captains over 1,000.  Now, God also has His men.  Some pastor 100 or 100's and some pastor 1,000 or 1,000's.  They each are God's men and each doing their duty as long as they give it their best in the rank to which God has called them.  Which are you?  If you are a captain over 1,000 and have only reached your 100, then get busy for God.  If you are at the level to which God called you, then stay faithful over that flock.  God sets us over the 100 or the 1,000.   That is His call, our is to be faithful and work hard.
2) LET'S HELP EACH OTHER- In I Chron. 19:12 Joab said to his brother:  "If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will help thee."  Now, why would we let another Christian in the battle faulter?  Let's help each other!  If you become overwhelmed, then let me encourage and help you (not critize or complain about you.); and if I become laddened down, please lend a hand and help me.  We must help each other to be what God wants each of us to be.  Don't stand by and let a brother faulter when we could have helped him shoulder the load.
3) WILLINGLY?  In I Chron. 29, in five verses we have mentioned seven times "willing" or "willingly".  God wants willing workers... willing givers.... and willing servants!  Are you willing today?  Oh that we might present ourselves to God as His "willing" followers!

Have a blessed day!  Pastor Mike Mutchler
