PSALMS
It's Sunday! What a great day. I always look forward to Sundays. I cannot wait to be with God's people.. I want to see what God is going to do! I know God will speak to my heart, and I want to see people saved! Baptized! Join the Church! Yeah! Get to see God at work! I love it! Here is just one or two thoughts from the Psalms today as I'm running later than normal. God changed my sermon this morning and had to put it on paper. 1) FAITH GROWS- Yes, the Bible says that "faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God" Rom. 10:17 In Psalms 62, we see an example of faith growing right before our eyes: In verse 2 David says: "He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved." BUT... notice in verse 6, it says: "He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved." See the difference? In verse two he shall not be greatly moved, and in verse six, he shall not be moved at all! Faith grows! Let your faith grow as well. Let God's Word grow your faith.. 2) LET US LEAVE A LEGACY- Psalms 71:18- "Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shown thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come." I am already greyheaded.... but only 54 years old...; still, I want to show God's strength to this generation and I want to show God's power to eveyone who is to come! Please dear Jesus, let us leave a legacy of faithfulness to those who follow behind us. Let us point everyone to You dear LORD, and never ourselves! Let us serve You best by serving others and let us lead many a dear lost soul to the Savior! Let me leave a legacy that bring the praise and honor to Jesus Christ! May God's blessings be yours today!
