JEREMIAH 28-48

Jeremiah is a great book.  Called one of the major prophets because of it's length and message.  Here are a few things I saw as I read:
1) OUTCAST- This is what the world thinks of Jerusalem.  In Jer. 30:17 it says; "they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after."  You see they called Jerusalem, Outcast.  How sad to be on the wrong side of the city that God loves.
2) NOTHING IS TOO HARD- In Jeremiah 32:27, the Bible says: "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh:  is thee any thing too hard for me?"  Nothing is too hard for God, nothing!!  This is so important for us to realize that God can work the impossible.  Dear Lord, thanks for reminding me that nothing is too hard for thee.  Thank you for being so powerful and willing to help me in every trial.  Thank you LORD!
3) Jeremiah worked hard- In Jeremiah 35:14 the Bible says: "notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me."  Jeremiah is called the weeping prophet.  He worked hard to get the good word to people, but they did not listen.  How sad when we work so hard to get the Gospel out but people do not listen.  It is so sad to realize this, but yet the good news is that some will and do listen and get saved.
4) WHOSE WORD SHALL STAND?  In Jeremiah 45:28, it says: "shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs."   God is issuing a a truth, someone's word will stand.... theirs (man's), or God's.  And... God's Word shall stand!!
Well, so much for today.  I hope you have a blessed day.  May God bless you!  Pastor Mike Mutchler
