MICAH THROUGH TO ZECHARIAH

Today I read another 20 chapters in the Minor Prophets, and here are a few thoughts:
1) WHAT GOD REQUIRES- In Micah 6:8 the Bible says:  "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"  God wants us to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.  This is our goal to live these truths.

2) YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE IT- Habakkuk 1:5  "Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you."
*God can do things that you just would not believe, even if someone told you.  I have seen things like this take place.  God has so blessed our ministry here at Grand View Baptist that we have seen things that could not be believed unless you were here personally to see it.  To see days where over 1,000 people were saved in one day!  To see 203 people baptized in one day!  To see 1,835 in Sunday School at one time on one Sunday!  To see the land and the buildings that God has allowed us to purchase without a dime starting out.  God will do this in your life too.  It may not be as great as others have seen but it will still be unbelievable as God works in your life.

3) BUILD THE HOUSE- The Book of Haggai is about building the temple.  God speaks to Israel about rebuilding the house of God, and Zerubbabel in particular.  Here are a few verses that speak to this:  Haggai 1:2  "Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built."   Haggai 1:4  "Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?"  Haggai 1:8  "Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD."   This Book shows us that God places a real priority upon His house.  God will use this to draw your heart to His house.

Hope these thoughts will be a blessing and challenge to you today.  May God's richest blessings be upon you.  May God richly bless you!   Pastor Mike Mutchler
