EZEKIEL

I'm reading in Ezekiel this morning.  Again, there are many wonderful passages to point out and I only have time for a few.  Here are some thoughts:

1) HE READS OUR MINDS- God knows what we think!  In Ezek. 11:5, the Spirit of the Lord speaks and says:  "... for I know the things that come into your mind, everyone of them."  How that ought to help us guard our thoughts.  God knows us even as we think.  Let us think thoughts that bring Him glory.  Let us put a song of praise in our minds today!

2) GOD WILL DO IT- Ezekiel 12:25 says:  "For I am the LORD:  I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass;"  God will do what He says, and God says what He will do!  Let us stay upon the words of the LORD!

3) FOR ALL OF YOU MOTHERS OUT THERE- Ezekiel 16:44 says:  "As is the mother, so is her daughter."  Your daughter will grow up most likely... like you!  So, instead of working to change your daughter all of the time, learn to change you, and your daughter will become like you.  We learn by example, and not only by exhortation.  We really need both to have everything we need to turn out right.  Please Mother... be a good example!   I'm so glad to be able to say that my own dear mother was the very best of examples.  She was a joy to her children, and my sisters are a wonderful example of having turned out right because of Mom's influence.  (It helped me too Mom!!)

4) a king and The KING- In Ezekiel 26:7, Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, is called "a king of kings".  He truly was a great king and also called a "servant of God".  He was used to bring judgment upon the wicked and upon God's backslidden people.  He was a king of kings... BUT, one day we will stand in front of the KING OF KINGS, and IF Nebuchadrezzar is there... he will be bowing in the presence of the KING OF KINGS.  Jesus Christ is THE King of Kings!

Well, so much for today.  Hope you have a blessed day in the LORD!
