Exodus-Leviticus
I'm home in Oregon! I enjoyed my travels, but there is no easy way to get from Portland to Oregon cheaply and I spent all day on a plane or in an airport each way. Good to be home! My dear wife picked me up and we enjoyed talking together on our way home. To her it was Midnight when we got home to me it was 3:00am since I started on the east coast time. I'm looking for a full day today. I only have time for a comment or two since I slept thirty minutes longer due to being so tired. Here is a truth: 1) SHOW ME THY GLORY- In Exodus 33:18, Moses says: "I beseech thee, show me thy glory." In Exodus 3:6, it says: "And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God." What a difference! The truth is that we do grow spiritually and as we grow, we develop a greater hunger and thirst to know God. It is not enough just to know Him as our God and Savior, we want to know Him very personally. This is what led Moses to that place where he wants to see God's glory. He already spoke "face to face" with the Lord. (33:11), but now, he wants to "see" the God he has been talking too. Hey!! One day, we too will see Him in all of His glory, and right now... we can speak "face to face"! 2) WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? - IN Leviticus 11:47 it says: "To make a difference between the unclean and the clean," God wants there to be a difference between what is acceptable and what is not. What is holy, and what is not. What is righteous and what is not. What is pleasing to HIm, and what is not. Now the simple question is: "What is the difference in your life?" God made us to be separate from the world. We are "in the world", but "not of the world". This is what God's Word tells us. How does your life reflect that you are not in the world? Come up with several things? Great!! That is pleasing to God.... now, let us all just work on the other areas of our lives! May God bless you!! Have a wonderful day in the Lord!
