COME

What a wonderful day we had at Grand View Baptist Church this Sunday.  A great crowd of people this morning and people getting saved and baptized in the morning and the evening.  People joined the church and new faces sat in the pews.  The Sunday School Adult classes were filled and God blessed.  The presence of the Holy Spirit was felt in our midst and we enjoyed so much the fellowship of God's people.  God blessed!  It was exciting and rewarding.  Here is a thought for today:

COME- Revelation 22:17 says:  "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come.  And let him that heareth say, Come.  And let him that is athirst come.  And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."  Come is an open invitation.  It applies to anyone, it applies to everyone.  Come is the message!  I'm so glad that as a nine year old boy, I heard the message:  Come.  I came, and my life was forever changed.  My soul was saved, my spirit was born again, my future was Heaven, my sins were forgiven.  Do you remember when you first heard:  Come.?  I have had the privilege to share with others that good invitation: Come!  So many have come to Christ.  I have been there to see it.  I preached, I shared, I presented the simple Gospel truths and then said:  Will you Come?  They like me, came to Christ.  Hundreds.  No, thousands.  Well, really..... tens of thousands as a results of one nine year old boy responding to the simple message:  Come.... come to Jesus.  I did and now over 150,000 others have come to Christ as well.  Really.... more than that.  The young people we have sent to Bible College urged people to come.  The missionaries we support and have supported, they too have said COME!  And tens of thousands more have responded.  A simple word.... COME!  But what a tremendous transformation.  Have you Come to Christ?  I'm guesing you have, but have you urged others to come?  I hope that you have.  If not, tell someone the simple message, and then say:  Would you COME to Jesus?  Many will come if we invite them.  The Spirit says COME.  The bride (church) says COME!  Let us all, everyone of us, say:  COME!!

Have a blessed day!  Pastor Mike Mutchler
