PURE GOLD

We had a wonderful day at Church yesterday and God blessed.  It was good to have some friends, Darrell and Joanie Bolton with us as well.  They were welcome guest to our home and church.  We look forward to hearing of their ministry in the future and seeing how God leads them in their missionary work.  Yesterday was Teen Sunday, and the teens did an outstanding job!  I was so proud of them.  What a good impression they make of our Church.  Today is Monday and it is overcast outside, but there may be some Sun breaks today.  Wow!  Here is the thought for today:

PURE GOLD- In I Kings 6:30 it says:  "And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold within and without."  Here we see that Solomon in building the temple, overlaid it with gold.  In fact, in verse 22, it says:  "And the whole house he overlaid with gold..."  It will go on to name each item, and having named the item, it will say that "he overlaid the __________ with gold".  The Temple was where God met man.  The gold spoke of purity and royalty.  God is both!  It also reminded me that in Heaven, the streets are pure gold.  I'm so looking forward to that day when we stand forever in God's presence and He in ours.  The gold will not seem nearly so important, but the Savior will!  Till that day, remember dear friend that God has gone to great preparations to "wow" us with Heaven.  Not one thing about Heaven will be boring.  Not one little item will be taken for granted.  We will love it all, because of WHO is there with us.  The temple was overlaid with gold to show us what we would one day enjoy forever!  Blessings on you my friend!
