REVELATION

Today is Thursday.  I had a great time at church last night as I ran through all 66 books of the Bible and shared the highlights of each one.  I so enjoy doing that.  It was a blessing to me and to others as well.  I averaged 41 seconds per book.  Today, I am finishing up Revelation.  I go ahead of myself and finished early.  So, here are some comments for the last blog of this year:

1) LET HIM HEAR- Revelation 13:9, says:  "If any man have an ear, let him hear."  This is found throughout Scripture and now in the last book of the Bible.  God wants us to use our ears to hear, our eyes to see, our hands to touch, our minds to think, and our hearts to love.  We have been blessed with all of these to relate to others but most of all to God.  We can hear what the Spirit is saying to us if we will listen with the ears of our  spirit.  Hebrews tells us several times:  "To day, if ye will hear my voice; harden not your heart".  We can hear, IF we get out the spiritual ear wax out of our spiritual ears.  God wants to talk with us... to fellowship with us.  Jesus said it this way:  "My sheep hear my voice..."  Really?  Yes!  We can hear what God is speaking to us if we choose to listen.  Not audible, but in our spirit.  He has promised to lead and guide us and He wants to speak to us and have us speak to Him.  Let Him hear your voice today, and listen to His!
2) THE SONG OF MOSES- Revelation 15:3 says:  "And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints."  Now the song of Moses is found in Exodus 15.  The children of Israel have just crossed over the Red Sea on dry ground and then saw Pharaoh's army destroyed trying to do the same thing.  It was a song of deliverance and adoration.  We too have been delivered, but by far greater than a flood; from eternal Hell!  We too should have a song to sing.  Moses is our example, and we will sing the song he wrote in Heaven.  Also the song of the Lamb.  Now this is not a song of deliverance, but a song of joy.  Jesus is so happy we are all with Him in Heaven!  We ought to be filled with joy just knowing that fact.  We will be with Jesus!! Wow.
3) FORMER THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY- This we are told in Revelation 21:4  "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither shall there be any more pain:  for the former things are passed away."  What a day that will be!  No more trials, no more failures, no more sin, no more disappointments, no more pain, no more loss, no more broken hearts, no more stress, no more anxious moments, no more long nights, no more sorrow, no more worries, .... all gone; all done away with.  The former things (that which we struggle with right now) will be done away!!  Praise His Holy Name!!  Thank you Jesus!!  That's what I have to say about it.

Well, I hope you have a Happy New Year.  This year, I have gone though the Bible three times.  I hope the insights have blessed.  Some of you have let me know that.  I'm still not sure about what I will do next year, but I'm sure I will  have some type of devotional blog.  God bless you!
