JOSHUA

I finished up Joshua today, and here are just a few thoughts:
1) WRONG COMPANY- In Joshua 13:22, we see that when the children of Israel were conquering the cities of Canaan, that Balaam was slain.  This is that Balaam, the soothsayer, who was hired by Balak to prophecy evil against Israel, but couldn't because God would not let him.  He was not killed because he tried to prophecy evil, but could not.  He was killed because he lived among wrong company and when the Israelites conquered the city, they wiped out the people.  He was one of them.  Not worthy of death perhaps, but living in the crowd that was.  Wrong company destroys as many people as any particular sin an individual could commit.  They just get in the wrong crowd.... and thing go terribly wrong.  That is a fact of life.  Heed it and stay put in the right crowd.  The crowd that goes to church and lives for Christ!
2) INHERITANCE GIVEN OUT- In Chapters 14 through 22, we have the land given out to the tribes by lot.  It is all in fulfillment to what God had promised.  The cities and suburbs were given to the Levites, the cities of refuge were all named, the cities and country that each tribe received is described, and that is the content of these chapters.
3) PROMISES KEPT- Joshua 23:14, says:  "And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth:  and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which  the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof."  God keeps his promises!  He always has, and He always will!  We can trust Him!  Don't ever doubt the LORD.  We might not be understanding of His timing, and how and when He chooses to deliver, but He always keeps His promises!  AMEN!!
Well, so much for today.  Hope you have a blessed day!

The Faith part was helpful, I need that right now. Kind of feel upset over things, but I need to remember God keeps his promises and is looking out for me.
