ISAIAH
Yesterday I read and wrote for an hour and a half, only to have everything I wrote vanish when my Mozilla Firefox closed down. Wow. I guess the truths I shared, God wanted only for me. Here are some for today: 1) YOU SOW... YOU REAP- This is what God is saying in: Isaiah 33:1 "Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee." Sow mercy, reap mercy. Sow love, reap love. Sow spoiling and treachery, and we reap the same! Let us learn to only sow what we want to reap later. 2) WHEN PEOPLE USE THE LORD AGAINST YOU- In Isaiah 36:10, Sennacherib's army came against Judah and Hezekiah. Rab-shaketh, his spokesman said: "the Lord said unto me, God up against this land, and destroy it." He is using the LORD against God's people. Sometimes someone will say to you: "I think the LORD is trying to get your attention". And you will start thinking: "Is God mad at me?" When people try to tell you what the LORD said and thinks, and is doing in your life.... A. Examine it in light of the Word of God. (ask for Chapter and verse); B. Examine it in light of the man of God (ask your preacher what he thinks God is doing); C. Examine it in the light of the grace and love of God (is God really trying to damage His child? I don't think so!) Don't let people use God against you and listen to it. 3) GOD IS BIG! Isaiah 40:18 says: "To whom then will ye liken God?" In verse 12 it says: Isaiah 40:12 "Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?" There are one billion Galaxy's, each with one billion stars. verse 26 tells us: "that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names..." God is Bigger than we can imagine, and then we cannot fathom why He looks to such insignificant dust as we are! 4) STAY UPON GOD-Isaiah 50:10 "Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God." Faith stays! Just keep trusting God when you don't see any evidence of God working, because... God is working! You don't see the wind, but you will see the effect! Keep staying upon your God! Well, hope you have a blessed day! Pastor Mike Mutchler |
