PSALMS

Today, I read Ps. 93 through 112.  There is always more to say that I have time or space, or you would read so I try to pick out just a few things that speak fresh to me as I read it once again.  In Ps. 95:7,8 we have the phrase:  "Today if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart,"  I have used that phrase over and over throughout the years to say that if a person is lost, they should hear what God is trying to say to them about Salvation, and yet, today the Holy Spirit reminded me that God is saying this to us today.  He is also saying to the Christian, "today" as you hear the voice of the Holy Spirit of God working in your life, do not harden your hearts in disobedience.  You see, God wants to speak to His children everyday!  He is not content just to say, I'll talk with you in heaven, He will be talking to us each and every day of our lives.  WE just have to HEAR Him and obey.  He will speak through His Word, His Messengers, and His Holy Spirit.  Listen to God today.
In Ps. 103:14- "For he knoweth our frame: he remembereth that we are dust."  God makes allowances for our failures, because He knows from whence we came... He made us from dust!!  He still has high expectations for our lives, but He understands when we fail.  Just be open and honest with God and acknowledge your sins and ask for forgiveness to keep the relationship real.  This is a great truth.
In Ps. 104, the chapter covers creation through Noah.  Read it with that in mind, and it will be a real blessing to you.
Ps. 107-CAN YOU CRY-  Several times in this chapter, it mentioned that the children of Israel cried out to God and He heard them.  I ask the question:  Can you cry?  Can we humble ourselves enough to cry out to God and say we are our of our ability and need desperately His help.  When we Cry, He will answer.  Well, so much for today, I've got an early morning breakfast.  May God bless.  Pastor Mike Mutchler
