WHO IS THAT GOD?

Today is Friday.  I am looking forward to getting caught up some with projects around our home.  It is suppose to rain today and tomorrow, but for now it is only overcast so I will try to work as I can.  Here is a truth to share with you today:

WHO IS THAT GOD?  In Daniel 3:15, we see that Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, having brought the three Hebrew Children into his presence, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, he asks the question:  "...and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?"  Well, he was to find out.  He was the God who is powerful.  Our first name of God in the Bible is Elohim.  The Almighty!  That is our God.  He had the power to protect and preserve the children of Israel, and He did.  These young men know.  They said:  "our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O King."  They knew this God that Nebuchadnezzar did not.  He is the God who is personal.  The name Jehovah is God's name revealed to His people.  It is a covenant name.  It is like saying "papa".  It is God saying to His people, you can call me.... Jehovah.  God wants a personal relationship with all of His people, and He has that with each of us.  Later in Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar would learn, who is that God.  The king would later say:  "there is no other God that can deliver after this sort."  And again, "Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment:  and those that walk in pride he is able to abase."  Well, you can see, he found the answer to his question:  Who is that God?  I'm glad we too know the answer to that question!

Have a blessed day!
