FINISHING JOB

Today is Wednesday.  I am again enjoying the reading of Job and have a few thoughts to share with you today:

1) WHAT HOPE?  Job 27:8 says:  "For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?"  What is the hope of the hypocrite?  What a waste.  Job knows that a hypocrite is only deceiving themselves.  Why fool others when you know you cannot fool God?  Let us realize that we will cannot fool God, so let us not be hypocritical in any area of life, but genuine and transparent before God and man.

2) NOT WHAT I EXPECTED- Job 30:26 says:  "When I looked for good, then evil came unto me:  and when I waited for light, there came darkness."  This is not what Job expected.  Life so many times throws us things that we did not expect.  I'm sure you could point to many things in your life right now that you did not expect.  You were not prepared for them because you did not know they where coming your way.  The ultimate conclusion is that God knows!  We don't.  So, when unexpected things come your way, realize that God was not surprised.  God is prepared when we are not, let us trust Him completely!

3) THEY KNEW- Job 33:6 says:  "... I also am formed out of the clay."  Now Job did not have the book of Genesis to read, but he knew where man came from.  He knew that God made man out of the clay that He formed from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.  Strange that they knew and so many today do not know.  God created us and we look to our Creator for direction, salvation, and blessing.

Just three short thoughts today.  I hope your day is blessed.  Whatever you face, God is there!
