LEVITICUS
Well, it is Wednesday, but here is Tuesday's blog: In reading Levitcus 1-10, there are a few things I would like to share: 1) ACCOMPLICES- This is someone who doesn't do a crime, but goes along with a crime. They too are guilty even thought they did not do the crime. They are an accomplice to the fact of the crime. We get this from the Bible. Leviticus 5:1 says: "And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity." 2) 20% MORE- God had a way of dealing with cheating and stealing. The person caught would have to return the value plus 20% more. We call that restitution. It seems that it is only paid to the court these days, but God had a better plan. If the thief spent it, then you could go into his house and take the value plus 20% more. If he did not have the value that he stole, he would have to work it off as your servant till the debt and 20% more was worked off. I KNOW that this plan would work.... it came from God and is found in Leviticus chapter 6. Well, the first ten chapters of Leviticus have a lot to talk about the different sacrifices, so these items are all I have to share today. God bless! Pastor Mike Mutchler |
