MINOR PROPHETS

What a day we had yesterday.  Only God knows all of the details, but it was amazing.  Over 300 were saved on one Sunday.  We had cars parked everywhere, and every room was packed and jammed.  The buses brought in 991, and the Spanish Church had 703 in attendance, and the teens had 144 for teen church, and the main auditorium was packed as was the many children churches.  This morning, I will get the numbers and add them up.  We had an amazing Easter Drama put on Friday and Sunday Evening and it was a blessing.  About a dozen or so were saved each showing.  It spoke to hearts powerfully.  I could type all day on what happened, but let me get into the minor prophets.

1) TELL THE CHILDREN- Joel 1:3 says: "Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation."  The goal is to let our children know the things of God so they can grow up serving Him and then tell others.  So often we fail here thinking: Someone else is teaching and training my children for me.  But, that is wrong thinking.  Others may help, but God holds others responsible.  It is not easy, but we must be teaching our children..

2) IT HAS COME TO PASS- Joel 2:32 says: "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered:..."   This has already come to pass!  As a nine year old boy, I called upon the LORD, and He saved me!  Oh blessed day!  Remember when it was your time to call upon the name of the LORD?  Tell me sometime when it was you got saved.  Drop me a short note sometime.

3) THE PROBLEM IS IN OUR HOMES- In Amos 5:19, it says: "As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him."  Here a man was on guard and against the beast that were without of his home.  He fled from them!  But he goes home only to be bit by a deadly serpent.  How sad that we complain about the evils of our society, but it is the evil in our own hearts that affect us, and the evil inside our own homes that trip us and our children up.  Let us clean up our homes for Christ's sake.  Filter your Internet, filter your cable, get rid of any DVDs that are not wholesome, rid yourself of suggestive magazines and such, let your homes be a haven for godliness, not serpents!

Hope you have a blessed day in the LORD.  I'm going to be spending time just praising God this morning for His many blessings!!   Pastor Mike Mutchler
