II Corinthians; Galatians; Ephesians; Philippians

Today is Saturday, a wonderful day and tomorrow is Sunday!!  Praise God, another great day Sunday will be.  I love Sundays!  Here are a few thoughts: 1) BE PERFECT- II Cor. 13:11 says: "Finally, brethren, farewell.  Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you." Be perfect... that is what God's Word says!  Now "perfect" means "well rounded" or "complete".  Are you??  It is a command.  What areas of you life are you lacking?  Prayer?  Bible Reading? Church Attendance?  Soul-Winning?  The list goes on... but the Holy Spirit knows where we are lacking and He also is the one who can "perfect" us.  We make the effort, and the Holy Spirit does the work!  Let God perfect us. 2) LOVE YOUR PREACHER- Gal. 4:15 says: "ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me."  They sure loved their preacher didn't they.  I don't guess that you could love anyone more than to pluck out ones' eyes and give them to another.  Do you love your preacher?  The Bible says in 1Th 5:13  "And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves."  To esteem them very highly in love... sounds like we are to love our preacher, doesn't it?  I'm sure you do, but we do need to realize that it is a biblical truth that we are to love our preacher.  3) HOW DO YOU MEASURE THE CHRISTIAN LIFE?  Ephesians 3:18 says: "May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;"  Do you see the Christian Life has breadth, length, depth, and height?  It sounds like it is three dimensional.  Sounds like it have volume, has capacity, has substance!  It does, but seldom do we realize the immensity of the Christian Life.  It is so large, we spend our lives in it and only scratch a two dimensional surface.  Why not explore the Christian Life... why not spend a life like Columbus trying to discover a new world.  We have a spiritual world of discovery that has breath, length, depth, and height!  Go on.... explore!!
