Acts & Romans

Had a great day Sunday and enjoyed it so much.  Today I have many activities to accomplish so I must write quick and brief.

1) Two difference receptions met the apostle Paul when he went to Jerusalem in chapter 21 of Acts.  In verse 17 it says:  "the brethren received us gladly."  but in verse 32 it says: "they left beating of Paul" (they stopped when the soldiers showed up) The world treats us one way and God's people should treat us another way.  We must go through life expecting two different receptions!

2) Obedient-- Acts 26:19 Paul says: "I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:"  I hope we all are obedient to God's calling upon our lives.  I hope to be and plan to be.  We each can see God working in and through us if we will let Him.

3) Romans 1:6  THERE IS A CALL OF GOD UPON YOU -- In keeping with what I just said above we see the same thing spoken of in Romans.  It says:  "Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:"  There is a call of God upon your life and we must be obedient to the heavenly vision that God has for us.

4) I't all FAITH-  Romans 3:28 "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."  Over and over in Romans we see that faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for us on the cross and by His resurrection, purchased our salvation.  Faith is what activates the grace of God to be extended to us, and allows Christ to accept us into His fold.  He then saves us and keeps us.  Our faith allows Him to do what He has always wanted to do.  Save and Keep us!!

Well, got to go.  Have a blessed day!!   Pastor Mike Mutchler
